Pinchy Shoes

Life sometimes hands us the unexpected, the unacceptable, the undesirable and what are we to do? Your view on life and the journey will determine your outlook and whether you act or react. Honestly, every now and then, it just sucks. You know what I am talking about.

Process the information, the details of your alleged obstacle and chart your course; learning and becoming empowered with your choices to manage your life. There will be many emotional and physical transformations, from your lowest points and wanting to give up, to your pinnacle of realization that you are a warrior. There is no challenge you can’t overcome or meet head on.

The footprints of your shadow create the foundation of strength, determination and your will to thrive, not just survive. Your shoes, maybe gorgeous stilettos, may feel a little tight at times, leaving your toes aching for relief, a change of pace, but keep at it because you can do this.

We all have a fight, a struggle, which may or may not be visible to passersby, but feeling your inner power; your muscle is what will get you through. When you see someone on the street or in the store, don’t automatically assume that their life is perfect while you do battle. You may be sharing the same shoes in your walk of life. Look into their eyes: what do you see? What do you feel? You are never alone.

Jesse left the comfort of her Miami home in early December to crush the dreaded disease, breast cancer and change our family history of the BRCA1 gene. Please join her as she steps up and fights back with all she’s got: CANCER SUCKS!  We appreciate your comments, stories, encouragement and donations – ALL helping Jessica fight another day.

  • Typically it is the big things; the life changing things that force us out of our comfort zone and into the unknown. The scary. Jessica is in the unknown and out of her comfort zone, but that zone is filled with friends, family members and even complete strangers that love her, pray for her and know that she is going to kick cancer’s butt! Great post, great outlook and you can do it Jessica!!
